Binance Labs, the investment arm of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has officially rebranded as YZi Labs to broaden its focus and scale on more than just crypto investments.

Looking to invest in AI, biotechnology and remaining dedicated Web3-related ventures, the rebrand is a ‘natural progression’ for the business and acknowledges the departure of Changpenz Zhao as CEO as ‘only natural’ to move on from the Binance name.

Under the rebranding, Zhao will continue to play a role in investment activities, directly engaging with founders and offering mentorship and coaching, adding value to the industry and providing founders with opportunities to grow with the support of one of crypto’s most high-profile leaders.
